About port intelligence
Port intelligence is the smallest service on the desk and the starting point for the others. It shows which vessels are calling at a port and which operators stand behind them.
It is built from public AIS and port data only. It is information for the desk and for principals who want to understand traffic at a port; it is not a quote, an offer or a fixture.
What we do
- Follow vessel calls at a port using public AIS and port data
- Identify the operators behind the vessels that call
- Use that picture to understand which enquiries are worth taking up
What we need from you
- The port you are interested in
- Your company name and what you operate or supply
- What you would like to know about calls and operators at that port
How it works
01 · Tell us the port
Send the port and the question you want answered.
02 · We read the public data
We use public AIS and port data to see vessel calls and the operators behind them.
03 · We reply
We tell you what the public data shows. If a bunker or tanker enquiry follows, it starts with a nomination.
Terms
- Based on public AIS and port data only
- Information only: not an offer, a price or a fixture
- Any bunker or tanker enquiry that follows starts with a nomination
Questions
Anything not answered here: ask us.
Where does the information come from?
From public AIS and port data. We do not claim any other source.
Is port intelligence a quote for bunkers or freight?
No. It tells you about vessel calls and operators. Any offer comes from a supplier or owner and is passed on word for word.
Can it lead to a bunker or tanker enquiry?
Yes. If you want to go further, you send a nomination and the enquiry runs as described on the bunker and product-tanker pages.
Other services
Bunker broking
We pass firm offers between ship operators and fuel suppliers, word for word, as brokers only, co-broking alongside an established broker.
Small product-tanker broking
Enquiries for small product-tanker fixtures, handled the same way: as brokers only, co-broking, with the commission agreed in writing first.
How a fixture works
Nomination first, offers passed word for word, and commission agreed in writing before any offer: the same rules for every bunker or tanker enquiry.
